The Extended Day Program (EDP) has been of great value and benefit to the families of Sacred Heart School since 1992. Before and after-school options are available to meet the specific scheduling needs of your family—the before school hours operate between 7:00 and 8:30 am; after school hours between 3:00 and 6:00 pm.
The program is structured into two groups: EDP-I (Pre-K, K1, and K2) and EDP-II (Grades 1-8).
Students in EDP-I are brought to the Pre-K classroom where they are offered a snack. Weather permitting, the students are brought outside to the playground—otherwise, they may play with age-appropriate toys, books, puzzles, games, or art supplies while indoors. The EDP-I room has its own bathroom facilities for the convenience and safety of the students.
Students in EDP-II are brought to the EDP-II classroom, which is adjacent to the EDP-I classroom. The students are also offered a snack and homework time is available and encouraged. Once homework is complete and as weather permits, students are brought outside to play. While inside, students have access to puzzles, games, books, computers, and art supplies—an occasional movie is a special treat. This room also has its own bathroom facilities for the convenience and safety of the students.
