The following factors enter into the decision to employ a faculty member:

  • an understanding of the mission of Catholic education
  • Massachusetts teacher certification
  • classroom experience
  • content knowledge relative to the school’s program
  • appreciation for the whole child – mind, body and spirit

Newly hired faculty are expected to be familiar with technology, be comfortable communicating through email, and be able to enhance the curriculum through the use of technology and media. Prospective employees are asked to provide three professional recommendations. After reviewing resumes, prospective employees are invited for a school tour and formal interview. Before a final selection is made, the leading candidate is invited to teach a lesson in the classroom. The principal and a classroom teacher observe the lesson and provide an evaluation to the candidate.
