Sacred Heart families that choose to volunteer as part of our tuition reduction program have many opportunities to fulfill their obligation. Please use the links below to sign up to volunteer for upcoming events.

Middle School Social: attend planning meeting prior to event, assist with purchasing of “safe food” refreshments, set up, chaperone and clean up. An additional Middle School Social is scheduled for April.
4th & 5th Grade Social: attend planning meeting prior to event, assist with purchasing of “safe food” refreshments, set up, chaperone and clean up.
Parents Night Out: this is a new event this year and the activity will be painting ceramic Christmas trees. Looking for volunteers to attend planning meeting prior to event, solicit items for raffle baskets, help with set up, and clean up.
Book Fair: assist chair with running of the activity including set up (Monday evening) and clean up (Thursday afternoon). October 16-18 (during school day) and October 17 is Family Night.
Meat Raffle: assist with soliciting raffle prizes, selling tickets, set up, work event and clean up.
Halloween Party: attend planning meeting prior to event, assist with set up, supervise activities, serve “safe food” refreshments, and help with clean up.
“Me and My Guy” Dance: this is a new event this year. Looking for volunteers to attend a planning meeting prior to event, assist with set up, purchase and serve “safe food” refreshments, and help with clean up.
Bake Sale: we need volunteers to bake for the Bake Sale and help with set up, assist with the sale of items and assist with clean up.
Santa’s Workshop: attend planning meetings prior to event, assist with purchasing items, assembly/crafting of items, make and display signage, put together take home packets for students, set up the day before the event, assist shoppers on day of event, and help with clean up.
Wreath Sale: attend planning meeting prior to event, purchase and decorate wreaths to sell to the school and parish community, advertise, work sale(s) and assist with clean up.

Art Room: looking for volunteers to assist the Art Teacher during the K2 and Grade 1 Art Periods. This opportunity is available on Tuesdays 10:10-10:50 and 12:55-1:35.
Athletics: (parents 5th~8th grade students) coaches for basketball, scorekeeper, referees.
Box Tops for Education: assist the chair with clipping and organizing of Box Tops.
Communications: work with communication team to get word out regarding Sacred Heart School activities and events via social media and press releases.
Development and Fundraising: assist Development Director with discussing and launching new fundraising initiatives and events; research and investigate available grants.
Lego Robotics: assist with afterschool activities and competition(s).
Lunch Parent Distributor: daily opportunity to organize and distribute the hot lunch orders to the students. Serve throughout three lunch periods, starting at roughly 11:20 a.m. and ending at roughly 12:30 p.m. If you sign up for this it is imperative that you are there, as the children and faculty rely on parents at this busy time of day. Please note you may sign up for a frequency that is less than weekly; on the signup form, please use the “Notes” field to indicate your availability, e.g. “every other week”, etc.
Lunch Parent: daily opportunity (K2 lunch is at 11:40 a.m. and grades 1~4 is at 12: 00 p.m.) sign up for day or days that work for your schedule. Be present in cafeteria/classrooms to supervise and assist students during lunch and recess. If you sign up for this it is imperative that you are there, as the children and faculty rely on parents at this busy time of day. Please note you may sign up for a frequency that is less than weekly; on the signup form, please use the “Notes” field to indicate your availability, e.g. “every other week”, etc.
Technology: this committee is responsible for the maintenance and up keep of all of the technology related equipment and software in the school. The committee usually meets once a month at night for 2~4 hours based on need and number of volunteers available. Occasional daytime hours may become available. Volunteers need not have experience working with computers but should be able to troubleshoot technology problems.
Work in Kind: Electrical/ Carpentry/Painting: provide services as needed and requested by the Principal. Please provide a brief description of your area(s) of expertise and/or types of projects that you could assist with.
Yearbook: work to prepare the annual yearbook for all students, including but not limited to taking and collecting photographs, layout, design and distribution.
