The Sacred Heart School Home and School Association promotes family involvement in the school. Home and School provides parents and families with opportunities to work together to implement programs and coordinate activities designed to foster a closer relationship between families and the school. This allows us to build a strong Catholic community through activities geared toward academic, spiritual, and social development.
Families who choose either Option A or B on their school registration form are obligated to provide 20 hours of school community service to receive the reduction in tuition. This 20 hour obligation is per family, not per student. There are many different (and exciting!) events and ongoing volunteer opportunities that occur throughout the school year. These activities also give parents and families the ability to meet and socialize, further promoting and enhancing the experience of community in our school.
Home and School organizes and coordinates all events and tracks volunteer hours that are completed by our families. There are four meetings during the school year and all are welcome and encouraged to attend to discuss events and new ideas!
In addition, Home and School helps organize the mentoring of new families by connecting new families with existing families in order to answer any questions and offer guidance as needed.
