January Service Project: Food Drive

The fifth grade class is conducting a school-wide food drive to benefit local food pantries. The goal of this food drive is to continue the spirit of giving beyond the Christmas season and to aid those in our community that are most in need.

This service project has been a resounding success the past several years because of the generosity of our families. Let’s try to make this the best year yet! Beginning on Monday, January 9 each grade will be asked to bring in non-perishable food items to support these local food pantries (see list below.) Each grade will have a cardboard box outside its classroom for the food collection. The drive will continue throughout the month of January ending on Friday, February 3. The fifth grade class extends their thanks in advance for your generosity and support of this worthy cause.
