Important “No School” Information

Generally we follow Weymouth Public Schools regarding school cancellations and delayed school openings. Radio and TV stations will carry the Weymouth announcement and we will also use the ConnectEd automated phone system to notify every Sacred Heart School family of a “no school” announcement or message about a delayed opening. In the event of an early dismissal, the exact time of arrival home for bus riders will be difficult to determine. If possible, private pick up is recommended when this type of special circumstance occurs. In the event there is a two-hour delay on a half day of school, Sacred Heart will not be in session.

Extended Day Program
When school is canceled, there will be no morning or afternoon Extended Day Program. If a one-hour delay is announced, the before school program will begin at 8:00 am. If a two-hour delay is announced, it will open at 9:00 am. If a two-hour delay is announced on a half day of school, then both programs will be
canceled (school will also be canceled in this case). On days when a storm is expected to arrive in the afternoon hours, please make every effort to pick your child up by the close of school (3:00 pm). If you are not able to pick your child up, please make arrangements for someone else to pick your child up. If the town of Weymouth cancels afternoon activities/programs due to inclement weather, the Extended Day Program in most cases will be canceled.
