Join us for a global journey! “Around the World at SHS” is a celebration of our diverse backgrounds and will give Sacred Heart students and their families an opportunity to explore our world right from Lower Church Hall. Participants will “travel” from one country to the next, getting their passports stamped, and learning along the way.

All are welcome – suggested donation for entry will be $5/family or a contribution of non-perishable food items for the St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.

Represent a Country!

We encourage all Sacred Heart families to represent countries at the event. To represent a country, you will be paired with other families interested in the same country to create a table display that can be as simple or elaborate as you like. Displays might include posters or other visuals, books, music, or videos, etc. You might also demonstrate games or crafts unique to your country. Volunteers are also encouraged to share the cuisine of their chosen country through food samples (all ingredients in food samples must be posted to address allergy concerns.) This could be food you prepare yourself or that comes from your favorite restaurant that serves international cuisine.

You do not have to be from a given country to put together a display! We encourage everyone to participate and represent a country from which you have a family heritage, somewhere you’ve spent time, or simply a culture/country you are interested in.

If you’d like to participate, please fill out the form below by Friday, December 7th.

What culture or country would you like to represent? This can be a country from which you have a family heritage, somewhere you've spent time, or simply a culture/country you are interested in.

Do you have a particular cultural performance (e.g. music, dance, storytelling) that you'd like to share the evening of the event?
