The Middle School environment promotes independence through a challenging academic program in a departmentalized setting. The transition to the middle grades is an exciting time for families. With the physical, social and emotional changes, students also experience new routines, peer groups, and academic opportunities. A small school environment like ours provides the individual attention middle school students need for successful academic, spiritual, personal, and social behaviors.
Students learn essential skills in time management and further develop the work and study habits introduced in the Lower School. Middle School students are encouraged to take on leadership roles in the school through participation in morning announcements, student assemblies, student council, athletic teams, and other activities. Through their experiences in the Middle School, students develop the skills and abilities necessary for success in challenging secondary school programs.
